Story Highlights
When it comes to building a luxury poolscape, a swimming pool is just the beginning. The real magic happens in the details—the elements that transform a backyard into an unforgettable retreat. For the Cascading Curves project, that magic came in the form of two fully customized, curve-driven fire features that now anchor the space with drama, warmth, and unmistakable personality.
From the start, the clients made it clear: they didn’t want ordinary. They wanted something eye-catching, unique, and designed to impress—a true wow factor for their outdoor space. And while the pool itself is stunning, it’s the fire features that spark conversation and set the entire design apart.
With a curved design language driving the entire poolscape, including the masonry and hardscaping, standard linear fire burners simply weren’t an option. To bring the vision to life, Outdoor Dreams turned to our trusted partners at Warming Trends®, known for high-performance burners and unmatched custom fabrication.
The process began with the construction of custom curved masonry walls, carefully crafted by our masons to cradle natural fieldstone boulders and define the fire features’ footprint. Once the walls were complete, a Warming Trends rep arrived on-site to template the structures—just like templating a curved granite countertop. This ensured the burners would fit perfectly within the custom contours of the stonework.
These aren’t your average fire bowls. With key-accessed gas lines and a remote ignition system, the fire features turn on with the flip of a switch—adding effortless ambiance to evenings by the pool. They’re functional, elegant, and engineered for ease, allowing the homeowners to enjoy their retreat with minimal fuss and maximum impact.
The result? Two stunning, gas-powered fire features with three total curved burners, fabricated and delivered through SiteOne Landscape Supply. Each burner sits within a stainless steel tray, specially built to match the custom curvature of the walls. And because these features are designed for real, everyday use—not just looks—they include custom stainless steel covers that prevent rainwater from entering the trays and flooding the system. It’s a small touch, but one that speaks to the level of care and longevity built into the project.
These custom fire features are more than just beautiful accents—they’re the emotional core of the Cascading Curves escape. They extend the usability of the space into cooler months and after-dark hours, while anchoring the design in bold, intentional craftsmanship.
At Outdoor Dreams, we don’t just build pools. We create experiential outdoor environments—spaces that surprise, invite, and inspire. The fire features at the Cascading Curves Project aren’t just elements of the design. They’re the reason this poolscape feels like a true escape.
